 The Painesville Township Fire Department prides itself on being a highly professional organization. Our committed personnel provide outstanding emergency and non-emergency services in a variety of activities, township wide as well as regionally, to include: emergency medical services, fire suppression, hazardous material mitigation, rescue operations, medical and fire safety education, fire prevention/investigations,  Bomb Squad support, Arson K9 program, SWAT medic support, to list a few.

It is my goal as the Fire Chief to continue to advocate for the safety of our community in all areas that we can influence. The role of the fire department has changed significantly over the past 30 years; we now deal with the threat of terrorist acts, health epidemics and a differing economy. Our challenge is to provide an increasing level of service expectations with decreasing revenues. I am very excited about the opportunities to deal with these challenges.  One solution that is promising is the regional solutions we are developing with our neighboring communities.
